Finished: Ferrari 575 Maranello
Quite known kit... painted in grigio titanio from DuPont, I just added some PE mesh & logos, plus the seat belts, gear shift, some flocking...
Not much impressive finishing, but nice looking. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Finished: Ferrari 575 Maranello
Fine! I guess this finish should be amazing by naked eye: you have a strange green shade on pics and particles seem big due to the flash: but I'll know something more on the interiors: artistic job, really nice. What do you used? Acrylics? I like.

There was no flash, so the green shade could be due to the lighting, although I tried to correct it by software... but nothing to do with the reflections from the metallic particles... The interior was fully painted using acrlylics from Tamiya, dessert-yellow, flat-flesh and buff, mixed depending on what to paint, lights or shadows. But not a specially clean work on the interiors, I tried to correct the seats, but my skills are quite under my willing. |

Re: Finished: Ferrari 575 Maranello
Very nice
I understand the problem w/lighting and how it affects some colors. Sometimes I have the same problem and no matter what I do originally or in an editing program the colors just aren't right. What's interesting is how close your 575 looks like my 550 that I painted in Nissan Millenium Jade w/a tan interior. I did a double-take when I saw your model. In pics they nearly look like twins! ![]() Here's how my Scaglietti looks in Grigio Titanio: ![]() The actual colors aren't that different. They're both predominantly gray colors, one w/a hint of green, the other w/a slight hint of blue, though my photos make the Millenium Jade look a bit less green than it really is, and the Grigio Titanio a bit warmer than it really is, resulting in them looking more alike on the screen than in reality. The joys of model photography under artificial light.
