New Tamiya releases

Hi
Sorry if this has been posted before. Just looking at the tamiya new releases and see that they are making the most out of the new Nsx kit and also re-releasing some old kits (boring). Heres a link
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/com...hp?sub-id=8000

Also they have a new detail kit which sounds very good, with some gt wings, carbon decals and photoetched seatbelts. Heres the link
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=12611

Hope you people like this.

Thanks Nathan

Re: New Tamiya releases

I knew about the EPSON NSX, not the ARTA one though, that looks the best out of all of 'em! That Toyota Tom's 84C car is an ancient, basic kit! All the others are re-releases! I'm interested in the Alfa and Alpine!

Erm

Am I reading this right -

Comes with an engine as well? If so, good oh.. If not, oh well. Nice livery though.

Re: New Tamiya releases

For sure they do (FEW) great engineered kit but they haven't a decent 3d designer! looks a the R34/wing!

I agree I like the arta livery too.

Re: New Tamiya releases

There's nothing boring about the rereleases. Those are all cool kits. I've seen the Alfa, and it will make a really sweet build.

You will find that this model has more detail than the new NSX's. It has a full engine. Love the ARTA livery, isn't that the car that 'Drift King' Keiichi Tsuchiya drove? Or is it the wrong year?

Re: New Tamiya releases

A friend of mine picked up the Epson NSX. No engine, cool decals. I suspect if it comes with the die-cast chassis pan, there is no engine in the kit. They only say the ARTA NSX "depicts the ARTA NSX featuring naturally aspirated (NA) engine with no air intake on rear fender". Doesn't say the kit comes with that engine... - Mark

It's fashionable to bitch about Tamiya. Didn't you get the memo?

Re: New Tamiya releases

only the Alfa interests me. I can still get the Fiat and the Alpine at my local Hobby Shop, I wish they would reissue some of there 80's kits though, like the Ford Sierra and the 180SX

I'd also like them to re-release the Sierra's, they're getting harder and harder to find these days...

Re: New Tamiya releases

I love Tamiya's re-releases. I wonder if they have a long term schedule planned? Would be nice to know what to expect in the next few years. They have so many cool OOP kits that I'd love to see back on the shelves.
