Timing belt tension
Ok, so we changed Mikes timing belt today, and it started! YAY! The timing was off by nearly 180 degress. Its a miracle no valves were bent. Well, we were trying to get everything back together and we couldnt get there to be tension on the timing belt. We put the tensioner back on, but the belt was still pretty loose when we started it. Any ideas?

Re: Timing belt tension
Only thing I can think of either it's not routed right over something or maybe the belt itself is the wrong one? I don't know.

Re: Timing belt tension
Everything was run right and it was the right one. I think it has something to do with the tensioner. do you have to reset it or something?

Re: Timing belt tension
Did you tighten the tensoiner pulley? There is one with the two holes in it to rotate so there's tension.
