Fuel Guage problem

On my 88 ford f 150 neither of my 2 fuel tanks read how much gas they have and it is really bothering me i no it is a really comon problem but i need to fix it if there is any one who has had this problem and has fixed it please post a message back and let me no befor i break it . Thanx doug.

Since youve got two tanks its more than likely not in tank. Try and get to back of guage in dash might be unplugged. Once my brother tried to disconnect speedometer and accidently got fuel guage. It plugged right back in. The reason i think not in tank is why would both floats in both tanks be out. DAVE
