We are gonna need a lot more details than just... "1995 with about 90,000 miles and it just flat don't want to run."

What trim level is it? Was he driving it when it stopped working? Was it setting for months before he drove it? Did he beat the hell out of it? What?... We need soooo much more information than that... Theres probably about 1000 different things it could be on a DSM and nobody is gonna make a whole list of things it could be without more details.

I'm going to elaborate on this a little bit, just because I actually feel like being helpful. Yes, check all the small stuff. First of all, make sure the battery is charged, and that the car turns over.

Next, make sure the spark plug wires aren't corroded and are delivering spark efficiently, and the plugs are in good condition. A car needs 3 things to run: air, fuel, and spark. We've just eliminated spark. Next go with fuel. Make sure there is good gas in the car and that the plugs are actually getting gas. If you clean the plugs and put them in the car, turn it over, pull the plugs out, and if they smell like gas and are wet, that's a good indication that you're getting fuel. You could also do a fuel pressure test. Lastly, if you get the car to run, replace the air filter and fuel filter to make sure it's getting the best of both.

And like blackcrow said, we need more information. Turbo, non-turbo, tranny helps, was he driving it, did it make noise, did it start smoking, etc..
