92 eldo won't start

The car ran great, parked it for about a month, by then it was winter (below zero). Jumped in to start it, it cranks but no start. i can put gas dwn the throttle body and it'll burn that gas out and die. The battery went dead in the process and then i got the security light. I jumped the car and it still wont start. I rmoved the fuel filter and turned it over and no gas came out the line. Is it possible for the fuel pump to quit working like that? It ran great, parked it and here it sits. I checked the fuses and relays and they are all good. Any ideaes?

Find the fuel pump relay, power up the fuel pump from there and see if it runs

Find the 12v feed to the relay, then find the feed to the fuel pump in the relay connector and jump them see if the pump runs.

I put a new pump in and now i hear it run, have gas getting through the filter but now it just sputters when trying to start, sounds like its out of gas, maybe fuel pressure regulator?

Before you replace the regulator, pull the vac hose off of it and check if it drips any gas. It shouldn't. Are you sure you're getting a good spark? Try spraying some starting fluid into the intake and see if it tries to fire. If it does, you still have a fuel issue. If it doesn't, check the cap, rotor, wires, plugs etc.

Re: 92 eldo won't start

Are you getting any codes? From the driver's seat turn the key to ON. Simultaneously press the OFF and Warmer buttons on the climate control. Watch the dash display and write down any codes that appear then post them.
You might want to connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail to check the pump pressure. Though unusual, the new pump could be defective. It should be about 40 PSI, IIRC, and it should hold at that for some time.

Re: 92 eldo won't start

I checked for codes and none were there. I think my next step is to check the pressure.
