cheap performance

I have a 1992 Grand Am SE Coupe 3.3L V6. I need a pretty cheap(<$1000) performance setup for it. I can not find any cat-back exhaust kits, air intake kits, Jet Chips, etc. for this year and engine? I would like to get the horsepower and torque above 200.

Oem Performance Parts
this above link has several links, hard to find older GA performance upgrades, but you can use some 3.1 and 3.4 parts. RSM and PFYC are two great places to find upgrades.

You probley will hav to hav an exhaust shop make a custom exhaust. Around $250-300 for 2.5' pipe.

Same as with the CAI you'll need to make your own. A couple Silicone boots and a couple 3' intake pipes and a good cone filter, you are all set!

I dont think thier are any chips for the 92 3.3, I'll check around but I'm sure thiers only ones for the newr 3.4s, and they are made by Digital HorsePower(DHP).

Good Hunting!

Re: cheap performance

To add to what I was saying earlier not many "cheap" mods out thier.

The cheapest is a WAI, take out your air box and just throw on a cone filter of your choice.
Thats what I usualy did at first.

Then an exhaust upgrade.
