Oil in spark plug recess
What is the proper fix for oil being in the recess where the spark plugs are located on a 1992 Honda Accord with 2.2 L engine? I assume that I need to replace the valve cover gasket(s)???
Can anyone shed some light on this to help a poor sap out? |

Re: Oil in spark plug recess
You have the right idea. It is actually the spark plug gaskets on the valve cover. Just purchase a valve cover set, can of parts cleaner, and a tube of rtv sealant. Pull it off, clean the valve cover, and other surface off, put in new gasket, a little rtv, and tighten back down.
