2000 Help

In my moms 2000 Sable, a hose coming from some where in the engine to behind the throttle connects to a elbow that takes it somewhere else. The elbow part has a hole in it causing it to leak and stall. As a temporary fix, we taped it up with some eletrical tape and it was fine. The Check Engine light came back on, but the car is running fine. It does seem though that the elbow is leaking a little air but not substanial. We want to replace he elbow but we cant find it anywhere and cant see the part #. I (think) i have the number to the hose, but I am unsure. I looke at a sticker, it said YF1E-6K817-CE then it had the Ford Logo, then below that it said M536F >PA6<. I have no idea what any of that means or if I have it right. Help?

Re: 2000 Help

YF1E-6K817-CE maybe the Ford part number. If you want an original replacement, bring the elbow to a dealer and tell the parts person where it goes.

How big in diameter is the elbow? At what angle is it bent? How long is it?

Copper tubing available in the plumbing section at a hardware store may work as a replacement. Use wires ties as hose clamps. This maybe the cheapest and fastest method of repair. Bring the part into the hardware store and tell the person in plumbing you want to make one. Tell the person that two rubber hoses connect to it and that it is used for a vacuum line.
