Door lock linkage
The door lock linkage somehow came off my wife's 2001 Neon. I have the door panel off and the plastic peeled back. I can put the linkage back on the lock, but I don't know what keeps it on there. The linkage has a little notch that goes on the lock, but what is to keep it from slipping off?
Can anyone please help? |

Re: Door lock linkage
Nevermind, got it. It took a type E retainer ring. Better have someone with small arms as it's a pain to get it on through the access holes in the door. Hope this helps someone.

![]() The green plastic piece in this picture is supposed to keep the rod in the lever. If this green piece is swiveled to the left it will let the bent end of the rod come out... I know this is off of an Acura, but the clips are pretty much the same. |
