jetta 1.8t VS Element

This wasnt so much of a race as it was me playing around, but i thought I should post it anyways.

I'm Driving with my g/f in the car and we are heading over with Musashi towards Pizza Hut, when an Element comes flying by and sticks his arm out with his fingers in a peace signs as to say "see ya!" I didnt think much of it till my g/f told me she thinks he was trying to race me. We get to a red lights and when it turns green the guy takes off. I start normally and give the element a 5 car lead.

I slam on the gas and shift to 2nd, I shift at 6500 to go into 3rd and I'm going about 75 to 80. I shift to 4th and I get next to the guy and we are both going 120. I laugh as I shift to 5th and put my nose ahead of him and backed off. There was no point to continue cause I already beat him. We got to the next light and it was red but the guy ran it, I guess he felt stupid and didnt want to be next to me.

Re: jetta 1.8t VS Element

Yah, gotta remind those box on wheels drivers that they're still in an ugly box on wheels even with a H symbol on it... LOL

Gotian, hearing about your Jetta really makes me wish my wife would keep her Passat 1.8t. The price of high octane is rediculous but the vehicle is paid for and obviously has tons of potential if one is so inclined to unleash it... which she obviously isn't...

lol that's kinda harsh... but the passats are too heavy and big compared to the jetta so you feel the power a bit different, I don't like em personally.

And I said it wasnt much of a race just something fun i thought i would put up

Re: jetta 1.8t VS Element

I need to visit Florida so I can watch all the ricers get pwned... myself included... LOL I like hearing about how the Jetta smokes these other cars that try to race you. Do you have any mods that are attracting these victims? Like blingy rims or exhaust?

BTW, the Passat is the wife's turtle, not mine... and yeah, they're big and heavy so boost is felt a bit differently.

That's the thing, IT'S BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING I LOOK LIKE AN EASY KILL. But there are times that the people see the decals that we put on the car for our team that makes people wanna race me.

Re: jetta 1.8t VS Element

Sounds like fun. I find it funny when people drive SUV's (if you can call an element that?) like ricers. Good kill.

Re: jetta 1.8t VS Element

I'm actually surprised the Element went to 120. The drag on that car has to be considerable and not to mention the lack of power.

Re: jetta 1.8t VS Element

A little off topic: Gotian, since you raced Musashi in his last car you should do the same with this. Go from an even start and then with you at a pre-determined distance ahead of him. Yeah.... .........no?

Dude. you gotta understand, This is Miami....we've been caught doing 120 mph before and its really no big deal. the avarge speed in a ressidential here is 70mph despite the legal limit being 30! Everyone drives fuken fast!
You get pulled over you get a ticket, you pay 80 bucks and it gets dropped! Our judicial system is so stuffed up with court cases that things like these get dropped daily.
People dont walk in this city, people dont cross the street, people dont even go near the street so its almost impossible to hit someone!
Cant really say he was risking the lives of the people in the car cause he knows how to drive, for pete's sake the man out drives guys in all seven classes above him. and to top it off his car is fast so it can accelerate to 120 and back down to 70 in a few blocks distance. the street was empty, we know the territory, no cops around, and his fast told him too....yes Id say it was worth it.

are you kidding me, he not only raced me, he smoked me in the 3KGT and stole my thunder....come to think of it if he haddnt raced me id still be driving the 3000GT. That race shook my confidence a little and opened my eyes, like Redneck said "time to step up your game" so I did.
and hell yes we are gonna race again!

GTO!

I get what your saying but there was no where for any cars to come out of, it was a stright road with no entry or exit points.

Oh and if i raced musashi right now it wouldnt be fair, I'd win since he cant go over 4k rpms! j/k

I'm giving the car to my g/f soon so I can get the car I'm supposed to have.
