pcm removal

Getting ready to send my pcm to Jesse. Once I find it, what is the procedure for removing it? I figure disconnect the battery and pull that puppy outta there?

Re: pcm removal

Remove the Negative battery cable and remove the PCM cover. Take the bolt out of the plug that holds it in and wa-la. done.

Where is the PCM Cover? is it under the hood or under the dash?

Under the hood. If you're looking under the hood from the front, its on the right toward the front of the engine bay. You'll see a little plastic box looking cover there. Just move it around to undo the plastic tabs holding it on and it will just pop off. Easy as pie.

On a newer silverado some are mounted on the driver fender well.
