Question Anyone wire for towing?

Hi,
I was wondering if I could get some help... I am trying to wire my 00 Venture to pull a small trailer... anyone have any knowledge on how to do this?

We bought the harness made for the van, I can't seem to find where it hooks up to the wiring.

Thanks for any help,
TJ

Re: Anyone wire for towing?

Yep... Go i n behind the cig lighter at the back panel. Drivers' side. Take off the lid. Pop out the black plastic panel behind it. In behind the panel, there is the wiring harness you want to tap into. It has plugs to connect to. Uhaul installed mine, and it was just tapped into the wires. I have pics of how my uhaul adaptor is wired if you're interested.

I simply pulled the wire through the panel and hide it in behind the covering, and pull the covering off when towing.

Re: Anyone wire for towing?

If it is the OEM harness that you bought, it plugs into a connector near the rear load leveling air compressor. But if you don't have that option, I don't believe you have that connector and the OEM harness will be useless....others may have more info...Glen
