http://humboldt.craigslist.org/pts/147566304.html

i already have a geo metro i dig

i know its a different manufacturer

but all you storm owners tell me about the 1990 geo storm. Is it reliable? what about a 200k old transmission? and a 50k old engine?

would u spend $500 on this car?

Re: this one worth checking out?

I am looking at Storm also. It is a 92 with 93k. But the problem is it won't pass emissions inspection. It chugs like its missing. Replaced plugs, air filter, poured stuff in the tank, and the gas filter. Any other ideas? If the catalytic converter needs replaced.....

Re: this one worth checking out?

very likely, its tough to keep the stoich on a storm, i have experimented with the fuel pressure regulator and coolant system. i adjust every season my pressure and thermostat, but yes, you can simply remove the front bolts from the cat and inspect the front face of the cat, if its smooth and the little honey comb looking stuff is plugged with small pieces of gravel looking carbon or if the front has melted down to a concave serface then yes you need a cat and they are available at any exhaust shop for between 100 and 189 installed with a 2 year warrenty. if you visit my shop ill hook you up for 80 bucks. im in college park ga
