Solved the infamous stalling problem...for me at least!!!
Well, I solved the stalling problem that everyone complains about. My Jeep would die as soon as you started it, and you would have to give it gas to keep it running. I changed the temp sensor, IAC, cleaned the throttle body, tuned it up...you name it!!! Today the battery went bad, so I slapped a brand new one in there and solved the stalling problem as well. I am confident that the problem was not related to a connection issue at the battery because I disconnected the battery twice when I changed the temp sensor and the IAC. After thinking it through it makes sense: The ECU didn't have 14.4V from the battery to support it when it was first started or at low idle. Therefore, it would stall from being starved current. Hope this helps some others!!!

Good fix. I've had other vehicles that died or had problems due to either bad battery or a corroded positive cable.

Re: Solved the infamous stalling problem...for me at least!!!
Same thing happened to me. Right after I bought my 96 (used 4 years old) from a guy it started stalling. He had put a Wal Mart battery in it and I suspected it was bad because I had to charge it a couple of times. I took it to Wal Mart and they put it on a tester and said there was nothing wrong with it. I knew better and bought a Die Hard gold and gave the Wal Mart battery to my brother in law. After replacing the battery I had no more stalling problems. SJ
