Could someone enlighten me as to where the lamp dimmer module is located on a 1998 Malibu LS. I have a chilton manual, no help. Thanks

Re: Lamp dimmer module
What do you mean - the round knob that you click up and down or the turn signal handle?

Re: Lamp dimmer module
I am looking for the dimmer module as opposed to the switch that you physically adjust. I was given an alldata wiring schematic but nothing else. The module has only three connections to it. One from the dimmer switch on the dash, one to the instrument lamp fuse and one to the right side connector panel.

Re: Lamp dimmer module
We have seen this request before although different model year, same answer
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=369800 I have posted before what the part number (P/N) of this thing actually is as well but couldn't find it quickly. Likely P/N on the actual part itself though. |

Re: Lamp dimmer module
Thanks for the help. I finally bit the bullet and went on a search mission under the dash. Chevy could not have hidden this module any better than they did. It is above the brake pedal almost to the top of the dash. And of course you need to have magic tools to unbolt. Once out you have to pay $70 for a $2 transistor that has no cross reference since it is OEM to GM from Motorola.
