wont rev up

ok i have a 86 rx7 and i finally got it idlen but when it warms up it wont rev up ...it idle @ 1 and when i put the peddle to the floor it will go to like 1500 thats it and nothing else..i let go and it goes back to 1 any idea please let me know thanks

check your throttle cable

yeah, def the throttle cable... and if ur just startin it up u dont wanna rev it out anyways.

tps could be the problem as well if the cable is on there and proper length.

i had the same prob with my 85 rx7 i found that the reanaters where stoped up try taking them off just unboult it from manfold an start it up an see if it revs up then..sorry for the spelling im not good at it
