Transmission slipping, then guages go out...related?
The transmission to our 95 suburban has slipped to the point where you can't get going unless it's in 1st gear. When this happened suddenly last week I also noticed the speedo, rpm guage, gear lights and odometer all stopped working as well. I replaced a fuse with no luck. SO these problems must be related...no?

Could be the ignition switch going bad. There is a tsb for the newer models that does exactly as you describe, the guages quit working and the transmision will not go in to 1st unless you manually put it there.
