'03 trailblazer engine noise

I just got the good news. My exhaust manifold is cracked. The only way gm will concider a good will deal is too have it fixed at their shop. $$$ I would like to know how common this problem is. Let me know either way. I will post the results.

That is different! I know the exhaust manifolds run HOT on the 4.2's equipped with the air injection blower. I wonder if that's the root cause. So you are out of 3/36 warranty? What's their idea of 'good will', you pay & then hope they reimburse? If they dont agree to cover it (or most of it) up front, I wouldnt take it to a dealer.

G/luck

Check your emission warranty coverage see if the exh. manifold is listed. My 2002 TB book says 8/80 for the exhaust manifold. See what they say about that, 7/70 for Calif.
