Oil Cooler

ok everyone out there her's a good one. I want to get into some extreme cooling methods. Im going with a new radiator and such but wnat to try somethign different. Does anyone know what the best way to install an oil cooler for the motor oil and tranny fluid would be. Im talkng about the finned ones. Also, anyone know if those oil filter coolers resally work, the ones that u place on the filter itself. Thnx guys. Engine for the experiment is a d15b7 which will later be recreated on a GSR. The Gsr isnt in yet, goota wait for the turbo kit.

Re: Oil Cooler

whats wrong with the stock cooling system on the stock setup? get b18c1, then get turbo, then, upgrade your cooling system. not vice versa. unlesss you just plan on throwing money away, it wont hurt you to upgrade your cooling system.

Re: Oil Cooler

im not talking about engine cooling im talking about oil cooling. oil filter attachments and/or full oil coolers for the crankcase oil and tranny fluid. much like what the diesel turbo buses and rv's carry. Any amount of cooler fluid will prolong the life of and maintain the horsepower of any engine. Keep inmind this is an experiment, i already have my GSR and my edelbrock turbo and a d15 that i plan on trashing. who the hell needs anything but a GSR and a turbo? along with a car that weighs under 3000 lbs. im trying to go for an idea that probably has never been used before. brainstorm guys.

Re: Oil Cooler

the oil cooling system is exactly what im talking about

no one cares what the gsr makes. there are plenty of sohcs, b16s, and b18a/bs that work just as well if not better. a new idea? well, after 15 years of honda tuning out there by thousands of people, it will be pretty hard to be "unique."

do a search.
