Re: 95 Road Racing Spec Gsx

Those pics are really small. Sounds like a badass car though.

Re: 95 Road Racing Spec Gsx

nice mod list, but you must have a terrible tune with the safc2 and 720s unless you have another form of fuel management

Re: 95 Road Racing Spec Gsx

no you cannot. Even if the safc2 can account for fuel compensation, it definitely lies too much to the ECU, timing is advanced way too far, then retarded severely. I see that someone from RRE tuned it, which means he was probably able to cover it up a little, but the car is definitely suffering because of that.

Re: 95 Road Racing Spec Gsx

I'm with them. Crunchy is right, unless you have a GM MAF (not in your mod list) with the SAFC on injectors over 650's you are going to be running pretty shitty.

Is there a point to you telling us what you are running? There were no questions, just 4 pictures and a list. Think any of us give a damn? Not unless you are telling us about a trip to the track or are having a problem with something. Making a list is easy, I could rattle off someone's 10 second setup, but what good does it do? Seems like we have people in here all the time that pop up to share their mod list thats 2 pages long and then leave. Sorry homeboy, but anyone that lists "Turbocharged" in their mod list on a car that comes turbo'd stock and is quick to run their mouth when a fault in their list found is bound to get a little shit.

Re: 95 Road Racing Spec Gsx

On the bright side, road racers tend to run much richer than drag racers due to the expense of race fuel making it impossible to run (roadracers are out for at least 30 minutes a whack), and on pump you need to run rich to keep things cool with such extended time at WOT. So even with the larger injectors, the compensation is probably less than the injectors deserve. The high riming may not be much of a problem either since at 1.5 bar on a 3071 airflow may be high enough to get around the timing thing. Remember that as long as the ECU still sees over 2.1 g/rev, timing will still peak at 16 degrees That takes something like 50 lbs/min on 720s, but even at say 45 you will be close enough that timing may only be around 18 or 19 degrees for example. Probably what most poeple would set things to with DSMlink anyway.

Never thought I would defend an AFC setup, but there are special instances where it can be made to work, and RRE is certainly capable of pulling it off (on a regular basis).
