i have a 1990 gmc safari xt 4.3 v6 when i accellerate it its no problem but when i floor it it hold back
when i let it go a little bit it runs real fast can anybody tell me whats wrong i changed the egr valve egr solinoide i gave it a tune-up and everything else i just want to know whats making it hold back when i floor it thx in advance

Welcome to the forum!
From your description, it indicates that there may be a restriction in the exhaust, possibly catalytic converter. Loosening both sides of the "Y" pipe from the exhaust manifolds is the least expensive and most conclusive test. It will be loud, and driving should be kept to a bare minimum due to heat, but if you notice an improvement in performance, you've located your trouble area. |
