Shifter questions

Alrighty guys, May 1st is gonna be my 19th birthday, and I'm prolly going to use some birthday money to spruce up my daily driving/racing shifting experience.

So, I'm going to be treating myself to:
Ebay short shifter like this - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...56075686QQrdZ1 which david-b has and said works great.

A new shift boot - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/100-R...QQcmdZViewItem

New shift knob - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RALLI...QQcmdZViewItem

But, my question is choosing the shifter base bushings. I know the symborski kit is tried and true greatness, but I saw this at extremepsi.com - http://www.extremepsi.com/store/cust...cat=571&page=1 and it is basicly the same thing, but these are polyurethane compared to metal in the symborski, and these are $25 cheaper. Also, the extremepsi ones are from Energy, which is also a trusted name.

What do you guys have to say?

Re: Shifter questions

Metal ones are way harsher right? I dont know man, its a personal call. Can you deal with the metal bushings? In your shoes, I think I'd go metal myself, but the polyurethane ones would probably be a bit easier.

Re: Shifter questions

I have the Energy polyurethane ones from energy. I have to say they work very well and make shifting a lot smoother.
