TPS, TPS, more TPS.

I can't seem to get away from this tps problem. I got my new ZC in, but I can't come up with a TPS sensor that works right. Can anyone help me out? Does anyone have one lying around? Please help!! :help:

I have the same problem. Just go to a junkyard and get it from there. I'm not sure how to take it out though. A friend of mine used the drill bit to push the screws out . I guess u can do it that way but becareful though.

I heard you can use anyone but sometimes you have to switch the wires around. I know you can use a DX TPS on a Si if you switch the wires or something.

The DX TPS will NOT work on an Si. The DX TPS turns the opposite way of the Si. You only need to switch the 2 wires if you are using a DX wiring harness on a Si intake manifold.

Maybe your TPS sensors are not working right because they are not installed correctly, you need to make sure they are set at the right voltage .5 volts closed throttle and 4.5 volts at WOT. The TPS has a little freeplay on the bolt holes so you can rotate it a small amount, just set it til it reads .5 volts closed and 4.5 WOT and it should not throw a code anymore.

TPS Problems

Actually, It is finding one that is not off a DX motor. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Will the ones off the later civics work? I heard that they will. I actually had a DX one on my first ZC, but I don't know why it worked. I am a little confused about it right now. All I know is that I can't seem to find one that turns the right way. Please let me know if anyone out there has a spare to spare. Thanks in advance!!

TPS

Which wire do you test the TPS from?? Mine has three, red, green, and yellow. I am using a DX wiring harness on mine, how do I know if the wires are the right way around?

OK, so I got a new TPS, and it ran fine for a day. Then, I hop in it this morning and it immediately threw a TPS code. Any ideas? I know that it has some range of motion, but I don't know how to test it for the right voltage closed. Any help I can get would be great. :help:

I think that the ZC TPS is backwards from the Si's.

Why does this forum suck so much, I can't post topics because it says I'm not logged in, then when I log in that there is no forum specified then it looses my post. Fuck!

Ok you have a ZC with a DX wiring harness...do this...Swap the two outer wires on the TPS sensor. I bet you that you wont throw any codes after you do that.
