Re: Crack In Rear Bumper
Five inches? Wow.. I don't know if there's a sure fire way of solving that problem without it returning later on. I neglected my bumper for a long time and all the paint chipped off and continued to do so. There's a sort of glue that some automotive shops sell, guys that do body work use it to "melt" the split pieces together. I can't remember what it was called, but it's an application that can cost you as low as $100 (minus the paint). I suggest you go and ask, usually smaller automotive shops would know.

Re: Crack In Rear Bumper
Glassing it wouldn't be the best idea. Although it would be less prone to cracking versus bondo, it's not the best for outer "cover-ups."
SEM sells a sort of body filler, it doesn't harden like bondo does and you can use as much as you want. It's called Flexible SEM Weld (Part # 39927 for anyone that cares). I used it to repair the front of my polyurethane blitz kit when I cracked it. Anywho, F!SH, I wouldn't recommend you doing this yourself, it's made for bodyshops and people that know what they're doing. I would bring it in and have it fixed. EDIT: And to post a pic, just get it hosted somewhere like on imageshack.us or photobucket.com and then just paste the link in your post. |
