94 Camry XLE Firewall .. how do i run a wire?

Hello Everyone! I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I am trying to run a switch wire for some fog lights installed from the engine compartment to under the dashboard. What is the easiest way to do this? Should I drill a new hole? If so- where should i? or is there somewhere I can pass the wire through already? any suggestions?

When I ran such a wire, I couldn't find a hole and I ran it from under the hood to the door frame, then into the car. I have heard there is a hole in the neighborhood of the glove box that you can use.

Thumbs up Re: 94 Camry XLE Firewall .. how do i run a wire?

On my 96 Camry 2Door, The hole I found was on the passenger side about 6" below the top of the firewall. There is a passage about as round as a Budweiser beer can where the wires from the motor enter the interior. Simply pull back rubber tubing (sorry for my technical lingo! Im not much of a mechanically inclined person!) feed the wire down to a buddy who is reaching up from behind the glovebox. There is a cover under and behind the glove box that needs to be removed before getting behind the glove box.A friend (with long arms!) actually put his fingers through the hole so all I did was let him grab the wire and pull it through!

Good luck!
