Got some new numbers!
Namely 86 and 65. I got pulled over for the 16th time in the last 5 years
Didn't go quite as well as I wanted, I only got him down to 80 while we talked on the side of the road. However, I will be driving back (140 miles away) to go to court and work on getting it dropped. Sad thing was, it wasn't even in the vr4, it was in my mom's impreza I couldn't help but laugh.

Re: Got some new numbers!
Thats too bad. Just think of what it would have been in the vr-4

Hah, at the rate I'm going, I'll have just around that number of tickets in 5 years >.< Nice to see Impreza representation though.

Re: Got some new numbers!
No, not 16 tickets, 16 times pulled over
This one may ruin a perfectly good streak of zero points. But I'm not willing to admit defeat until after the trial

And no, it's not cool. It's a 98, which's auto tranny has been beaten to hell. It shifts like a dog, has no balls, takes about 3 miles to hit 80, and another 3 to hit fuel cut at 110. It runs on 4 steel rims, 87 octane, and happy thoughts, and literally has this on the front license plate. Nothing shouts 'I live with my mother' louder than this POS.

Re: Got some new numbers!
16 times pulled over in 5 years? quite impressive. i've only got 8 to show for the past 5 yrs, 5 of which were tickets.
i think you could benefit from a, oh, what do you call it??? ...RADAR DETECTOR! i think it would have more than paid for itself by now. curious, what did you say to the cop that pulled you over? did you give him some funny shit like "here, hold my beer so i can get my license out of my wallet" or did make up some b.s. story that he believed, or did you play the idiot card, or did ya'll just shoot the shit?

I see what attitude he takes with me, and then go from there. With this one, I just winced when he said 86 in a 65. I handed him my license, and while looking for my current insurance info, I just started talking to him, about anything. When he came back with the ticket, I just kept him in conversation, asking about points and insurance. He didn't seem like the vindictive type that wanted to screw me, so I told him, I had no problems paying the fine, I deserved that, but that points on my license concerned me, because I pay insurance on "a rather rare car". Then we just talked for another minute or so. This way I figure he will remember me, remember I was polite, had a clean record, not drinking, had my seatbelt on, etc. And when I go to court, he will be more apt to be sympathetic on the points. I'll see what bargain he offers, try to negotiate a bit, and if that doesn't work, I'll try it with the judge.

Re: Got some new numbers!
is only like $30 because he is 65 yrs old and never had a ticket or accident so compared to mine that is $1600 for 6 months.(and that is just liability)
