Fuel pump going bad or fuel filter clogged

check the supply voltage to the coil to verify it is getting a full 12 volts (if you havn't already)
a short in that circuit or too many other things tapped into the same wire can cause a voltage drop & could cause the spark to not be hot enough to burn the fuel when you stand on it. |

Re: iroc will start and idle but give it gas and it falls on it's face
So the fuel pressure is 40+ now?
Modules consantly going out could be a bad pick up coil. Also, what kind of replacements are you using? Ac/Delco is the way to go when it comes to the ignition system and fuel pump. They might be pricey up front but worth it in the long run. Also make sure you put ALOT of heat sink grease on the modules base when installing to keep it cool. |
