Quick question.
Does anyone know how much hp the oem crankshaft on the 2.4l twin cam can handle?
Just curious cause I'm starting the build up of my spare motor. I'm replacing the rods and pistons with forged, using clevitte bearings, stronger valves (haven't decided which yet) and springs, performance cams, possibly the cam gears and much stronger head gasket, lightweight flywheel and crank pulley as well as 62 mm throttle body. Oh and a port and polish. I'm trying to make it capable of withstanding a 10 psi turbo. I've blown one engine out of this car without a turbo and am trying to avoid any mishaps when I do. So if I've left anything vital out please say so.
