Tie Rod End Question

I have a 96 xj i was wondering if there is a difference with the left and right side tie rods i see some sites that sell them just as, but others like autozone parts america etc... say there is a difference and they seem to cost more for the left side than the right side i can buy a pair of them for $22. lifetime warenty but it doesnt list as left inner or right outer etc...

There is a difference one is a left-hand thread and the other is right hand thread. The threads are made that way so you can adjust the toe-in on your wheels. Tie rod ends are not cheap. Don't buy cheapies MOOG are good you get what you pay for Dale

Another difference between the tie rod ends is the actual size of the threaded end itself. So when replacing a tie rod end check to see which way it tightens and measure the width of the threads as well.
