2001 coolant leak

Hi gang,

There is coolant routinely leaking out of the overflow on the passenger side. Puddles are normally about baseball-sized in diameter. Hoses look good, the water pump area looks dry. Is it possible the overflow container is cracked? Or any other ideas?

Yes.
Have the radiator cap pressure tested.

I had to replace my 98 Taurus overflow bottle a few years ago, it was split on the bottom of the bottle and like you I wasn't able to tell where the leak was coming from until I had it pressure tested. It only leaked when the engine was at normal running temp. Good Luck.
