Disabling Onstar

does anyone know how to disable to onstar system on a 2002 bonneville, where is it located and if disabled will it affect anything else?

Why would you want to disable Onstar? If you don't subscribe, it has no effect on your car.

I have been a non-subscriber on my 2000 SSEi for two years now. GM won't offer cell phone service on cars older than 2001 or 2002, even though the hardware is compatable.

Onstar is a great system, but after initial launch in the late '90's,
the operators who answer your requests have deteriorated to illiterate, it has become quite irritating to use the service. Early on , in 1999 and 2000, they were very helpful in giving directions.
