Inertia switch. Is there one and where is it?

Does anyone know if this is part of this car? Car cranks strongly but will not start. Oil is low too. But would that make it not start? No funny noises when cranking.

I dont know for sure .. but dont beleive so. I think they relied on an oil pressure sensor.
Can you hear the fuel pump run at all ?
Have you checked for fuel pressure ?
Checked for spark ?
sprayed starting fluid in TB to see if it starts ?

There is no inertia switch. The fuel pump relay will shut off the fuel pump if oil pressure is lower than 4psi when the engine is started. It has no effect on cranking or starting, as it is bypassed until the car starts. Listen for pump operation when youturn the key on and check for pressure like DCarr511 suggested.

Now last night it started AFTER adding a gallon of gas to a tank showing an 1/8 of a tank.

Started again today and took to get oil change. Turned engine off to see if it would start again. And now it's not starting again. It cranks over but then seems to be sputtering and won't stay started.

We live in WI and it has only begun to get warm again this week. Does anyone think there's a possiblity of moisture in line? I'm hoping the fuel pump isn't going but is that wishful thinking?

Any ideas anyone? This is my husband's car and I HATE it!! This is the biggest pile of crude to work on because everything is buried under hoses and backets. Next car is a Honda!!

Until you put a fuel pressure guage on it and determine if you have proper fuel pressure, there's not much else we can tell you. If you have good fuel pressure, then it's possible the ignition module is faulty, crank sensor, cam sensor, etc....
