Another new recall notice today...
Tailgate cables (again). This time they are replacing the galvanized cables with stainless steel. Also says the dealer might replace the tailgate hinges.

Well it may be a new recall to you, but it is by far a new one. I got the recall at leat a year ago already. The hinges may have to be replaced if the cables snapped and it damaged the hinges, that is why they are including the possibility of the hinges.

Was the original cable recall replacing the galvanized cable with SS ? I did know about the original but the dealer told me I have no outstanding recalls on my VIN when I took it in for the ABS last year. I figured the previous owner took care of them as they occurred. The recall campaign stickers are all on the fan shroud.
