1998 Ford Explorer - Low Beams Not Working

Last night after going through a touchless carwash my low-beams will not come on. I do however, have highbeams but only work when I pull the turn signal handle towards me. 1998 Ford Explorer. I did check the fuses and they appear to be okay. Thanks Chris

there is probably water in the head light now if you see moisture in there you probably need bulbs also when there is moisture in the lenses it usally goes through bulbs faster but ck fuses 11 and 12 again just to be sure

Did you use a test light to check the fuses?
Use a test light to see if you have power at the plugs that connect to the bulbs.
Not uncommon, the multifunction switch may have failed.

Re: 1998 Ford Explorer - Low Beams Not Working

Thanks for your reply. I did have it looked at this weekend. It appears that the mulifunction switch needs to be replaced. The fuses were okay ans so was the voltage getting to the headlights. I am not mechnically inclined so I may have not exactly explained what was exactly tested. My low beans dim out and don't work always. i am able to now at least keep my brights on without having to hold the turn signal handle towards me. I was going to order a multifunction switch and see if that will work. My brother in-law was kind enough to help me out.
