4runner 1999 limited auto up power window problem

my passenger window goes up automatically but doesnt stop in the up position. it goes half way back down then stops. any suggestions on how to fix? thanks

Kevin, I actually have a 99 limited also, but haven't had problems with my windows (yet).

I do have experience fixing my window tracks and cables on my 92 Camry though. I would start by removing the door panel and see what is going on - you may have a worn/snagged cable, or a dislodged track part. Take a look and re-post and I will see if I can help.

I thought I remember seeing a link somewhere on how to remove the door panels from a 4runner - so you may want to look around. This will end up taking up half of your time, plus if you don't do it right, it won't look the same when you put it back together.
