Well for a long time now, I've always wanted a...
Extended S-10 or 4 Door Blazer 4x4 5 speed 4.3L V6 92 or above (for the electronic cluster) but I could never find one around here...they may have been extened but with the 4 banger...or have the 4.3L but be brand to new (which I couldnt afford) well, it just happens I had to run to our local Home Depot for some copper lining...anyways on the way there, you pass buy a little "self" car lot and my eye caught a black sonoma sitting there (I like the GMC grill better) so on my way back I go and look at it...and its not in the greatest shape...bed is all banged up, door has a couple good dings in it...looks like it was a work truck but, its all what I need something to work on, and it lowers the cost since its not in the greatest shape so, I'm looking around it I see a 5 speed, blank cluster, so it has to be the electronic one, but didn't know the engine So I'm just wanting it more and more...only to relize that the person hasn't put a for sell sign on it ![]() now, he has to be selling it since its been there for a while now, though no for sell sign, but in a car lot... I took the VIN number down and looked it up, says its a: GMC Sonoma 4.3L V6 2 RWD (not bigge that its not 4x4, just wanted that so it hooks up if I get some power out of it :P) and its a '92 so I figured out from the VIN number the engine basically, unfortunally I don't know who owns it I left a note on it for that person to give me a call with the asking price, but I've had no luck for about 3 days now...though its been sitting there for about a week and a half now whats the point of this story? nothing really, just thought I'd share my experience...and possibly when I buy it

Re: So cool I found one...but...
There's a Black 85 Blazer just sitting on the car lot where I work at and the boss has had to tell several people that it's not for sale. I know that he wishes it was because of the intrest that he's had in it, but I jst don't want to part with it.
So what I guess that I'm saying is that not all cars on a car lot are for sale, but it's sure worth while asking. But on the other hand talk to the car lot. I had someone look at mine, that ownes a 92 Blazer with a 5 speed. It needs a few panels cut out and new steel welded in but nothing major. The chances are that he'll be trading this in soon. This would be idea for you, and a used car lot would probably sell you something like this blazer for a really good price. |

but for as long as its been there now, I dont think its just parked there while somebody's working I went to the business (Apex appliances and funiture) but it looks like they went out of business...? so I wasnt able to ask if they knew who owned it, but from what I understand its a family ran business, so they may be on vaction...? there's other cars on the lot too that do have for sale info, but theres that S10 and a ford taures wagon there that dont have for sale info also, the lot is seperated from the business...just somewhat fenced in with a gravel ground so its hard to mistake for a car just being parked there, since its an out of they way car lot but I'm hoping he/she will call soon

Re: So cool I found one...but...
get the plate number if it has one and find out where they live, or get the vin to the dmv and find out who it is registered to

but theres no plate(s) on it... talking to some people, they said that building is for sale, and the owners are in florida...so maybe its their truck? they told me I should contact the realtor and see if they know anything about it but "my truck" just sits there, waiting for me to buy it

Re: So cool I found one...but...
still nothing,
my dad tells me the only way to figure out who owns it from the vin, is you'd have to have to be a cop, or work at the dmv... anybody know how to do it over the internet, dont care if I have to pay edit...well apparently I can get info off the internet, but its anywhere from $20, to $100, much more than I guessed...
