funny/pathetic mistake

So, i figure you all might get a laugh out of this. I tried today to install, starting on the right side door, apc greem illumiators. I have the repair manual, but this is the first time i have taken the door apart. so after i get the door apart, i slipped the wires in the gap where the outside handle hinges. I peel the paper off the illuminator and press it on the underside of the plastic exterior handle. I started late so i was just gonna place the illumiators in both doors and call it a day. I connected the ground, and tied the power wire to some speaker wires just to keep it in place. I want to put the plastic interior door panel back on, found it hard with the window up, rolled the window down, felt something wired, then heard something. Turns out i forgot about the window glass and it came down right on my first and ripped it in half. Still fixable though. But how do i wire around the glass without taking all day on one door. I was thinking drilling a small hole in the jamb of the door near where the handle is, and passing the wire through there on outside of the metal part of the door, but under the plastic interior. But i knew i was still to sick to try to do anything, but damn my ambition
