Chevy 4x4 problems plz help

My rear end on my 2000 chevy silverado went out about a week ago i do not have the money to pay a transmission shop to fix they said they wanted about $2000 dollers just for the parts. Is there a any place on the internet that i could find parts for my truck my friend is licensed mechanic and he would do the work but he doesnt work at a shop anymore so he cant get me any parts PLz help

Holy shit man , get a second price. My rear went out on me last fall but i was lucky. The crown and pinion were still good and so were the bearings so i only had to replace the carrier and spiders but went with an eaton posi instead. The posi was $600, if i needed new bearings it would have been about 100 more and if the gears were toast, about 325 more, so if everything had to be replaced i was looking about $1000 TOTAL, and this is in Canada. I would get a second opinion
