99 3.8 oil pan gasket replacement

Hey anyone done a oil pan gasket replace on 3.8 Camaro here, if so is it hard or fairly easy? Also I bought the pan gasket and its a solid plastic piece and very strange looking. Is this stock because I have a cork one on it now and has no middle tunnel thing attached to it.

Thanks a mill
Scott

I dont know about the material of the gasket or about the 3.8 specifically but on the z28 models people usually unbolt the mounts and jack up the engine and then loosen the bolts for the k member so that it can be lowered and then you should have a clear shot at it.

I have never done mine, so can't help ya on what it should look like... although if you kwno the odl one was cork then I assume you have it off already. Line the new gsket up on the pan, make sure its the right size and shape and the holes all line up, if so I would guess that it'll work.
