back-up lights

hiya!! i have a 2002 sunfire and my back-up lights dont work. ive tried replacing the fuses but no good. maybe im putting them in the brake lights instead of where the back-ups are. is there a trick to where they are or something? please help

Is it a manual or auto?

If it's a manual, the backup light switch on the tranny may be bad. Or the switch is not getting any power.
