1998 Sunfire: DRL, one dim headlight?
I am the owner of a 1998 Sunfire Convertible, 2.4L.
Driver's side headlight is very dim while the passenger side is normal brightness, both under normal and high-beam operation. Also the Headlamp/DRL indicator clicks and flashes repeatedly during daytime operation unless I turn on the headlights. I replaced the halogen bulb with new ones twice and also switched it with the working one from the passenger's side. Confirmed it is not a bulb problem as all 3 bulbs have worked properly on the passenger side. If the DRL relay were faulty could it cause just one headlight to behave like this? Is that something that is available at an auto parts store? What else can I check - socket, fuse, ground wire ? |

Re: 1998 Sunfire: DRL, one dim headlight?
you shouldnt ask someone a question from 6 months ago, you probably wont be getting much of a response, for starters you could try replacing your Daytime Running Lights relay, a bad one of those will cause the headlights to do some weird things....

Yes if only one of the lights are dim then check you relays, ground wire, and also any other wires in the harness that could be frayed, cut, split etc etc.
