Buying Rx-7

there used to be a good list of things to look for when buying an FC, the link dosent work anymore does anyone know a good list? looking at an 87 turbo.. but thinking the non turbo might be a better first car. cant wait to baby her

well man, to be honest, i would say it would be better to get a n/a for a first timer in the rx7 category just caz i jumped in and got a TII and man i didnt know shit bout the car and it was a nightmare when something went wrong on this thing. i mean do get me wrong the TII is a basass car....i luv it, in the process of rebuilding mine, but the n/a is just more reliable.

just make sure the body is straight, get a carfax (i can do it for you if you just pm me the vin), make sure teh engine idles fine and if it doesnt ask for a compresion test

yea i was starting to think more towards the n/a because of the reliability. how are they for modding, can i get much horsepower with bolt ons? how many km are n/a known for? is 160 000 too much?

this vin number isnt long enough (needs 17 digits, this is only 16), so check it over again.

At the time, McLaren was racing successfully with Honda engines, and it seemed logical to approach Honda for an engine meeting Murray's requirements. But the Japanese declined, feeling that they could not spare the capacity to develop such a project.

86-88 is 146 to be exact :P

and yes the 89-91's are 160

the extra 1000 rpms and 14hp makes a difference.

torque is the same between both engines
