Angry pontiac sunfire 2003

every once in a while it would miss at idle but the dealer said it wasn't unless the check engine soon light came on in the dash but I know a miss when I hear one the rpm gauge drops and goes back up sharply and it has gotten worse as the years has gone I have already put new plugs in it and that didn't do it so what could it be

I have this problem. I come to a stop at a light when the engine is warm.. The rpms rise, tehn drop suddenly and boom, my car stalls....... It pisses me off b/c they say they cannot duplicate the problem. I hate GM. Can someone please help us out??
