Need Help! 91 240SX, should i buy it?
i found a 91 240sx SE Fastback for sale and i wanted ur guys opinion if i should buy it. its charcoal with grey interior. brand new brakes, new stock catback exhaust. 5 spd, fog lights, 107k on the engine, and 193k on the body. does the body have too many miles on it? or will it still perform good? he is asking $3000 but i bet i can lower it to around $2200

193K miles is alot on the chassis...you gotta take into account all the wear and tear on the suspension and all the other stuff...
2200 is definitely the most I would pay...I would want to pay alot less for that...b/c it seems still unreasonable...plus you are on a different motor now...not the same one or not in original conditon...which makes me suspect FOUL PLAY.

There are a lot of things that can go wrong with the motor. 2200 is reasonable if the suspension has been replaced at least once, and if the interior is in excellent condition, and if it comes with most the options. I'd also make sure the car was in exactly ZERO accidents involving frame damage.

Yeah try to talk him way down. 193k miles is a ton of miles on the chassis. If the shocks and springs hadn't recently been replaced then when you replace them, if you decide to go with performance springs/shocks then you will probably spend at least another 400-500 for a decent set-up.
