'93 Cherokee I need ideas on what code 11 could be
I have a 1993 Cherokee that shuts down shortly after it warms up, but starts again after it cools down.
Any ideas what Code 11 could be. All the book says is "Ignition Reference Signal" Thanks, Bruce |

Code 11 is camshaft signal or ignition signal. Being that it starts then dies check the Crankshaft Position Sensor on bellhousing drivers side. Questions holler Dale

Re: '93 Cherokee I need ideas on what code 11 could be
Code 11 is a generic code stating the the engine is not running. When you are performing the standard chrysler computer test, this should be the first code that pops up. It basically means nothing.

Meaningless? - Each code has some meaning!
I would have to agree with Dale - Look into replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor. That is what happened to my wife's 1992 last July, and replacing the CPS fixed it right up. Take Care,

Manual says, "Code 11, No crank reference signal to computer. Check the circuit from the crankshaft position sensor to the PCM (computer). Replace the CPS."
