305 Dipstick length 92

My dipstick when I was checking the oil level a week after a oil change broke.... I pulled it out and it broke.... I put the metal part on a bench and put the stopper back in... The next day the metal part is gone....

So how long is the dipstick? I bought the closest thing that the auto store had and it is a universal......

Your chev dealer would be the best place to get the right one.
Give them your vin no and they should be able to get it if they do not have one.

If you know what year and truck the engine was out of the dealer parts department will sell you a dip stick and you can install it yourself.

Re: 305 Dipstick length 92

I have the 305 Engine. I just looked this up on the several sites. It looks like they run between $8 and $12. You will probably get the tube with it and it may end up being chrome. Just go in and tell them which engine you have. Engine code H. You shouldn't have a problem. I doubt you'll need to go to a dealer for this. The Autozone site said it was a special order item.
