new trunk lid

hi, i was wondering if there is any place where i could get a new trunk lid for my 96 saturn sl2 that does not have the red bar things sterching across it. and i was wondering if it is possable to get them taken off if i can't find a new trunk lid that does not have them.

you mean the rear refectior? search junkyards, SOHC models use a painted body panel

I know it's possible, and i've seen it be done, but i dont exactly know how its done....

yes the 96 sl1 has the same body being the 2nd gen. you can get the entire lid if you want or you can get the plastic part which is painted on sohc (sl1) and is a reflective part on dohc (sl2). although it doesnt really reflect.

you can use a 96-99 lid on it
