can someone help... head unit question

I am goiing to get some subs and an amp soon, probly some speakers too. not top of the line I will probly spend about 7-800 bucks without a head unit. I already have a pioneer head unit but it is bottom of the line about 150 bucks. will this be sufficient if i get a system put in?

Re: can someone help... head unit question

you want a hu with at least 2 preamp outs, 3 preferably. you say low end pioneer, what model? if it has 2 preamps it would work ok, pioneer hu's are pretty good, in my opinion.
