Optimas under the hood? I dont think so

I'm no expert on this, but I'm pretty sure that the optima batteries wont fit under the hood, I think you will need to put it in your trunk. This will acutally work out better tho, cause then it wont block you CAI, unless its HELLA big . Oh yeah, go with the Optima Yellowtops, they are the best. Of course, you should also get a couple of Monster Cable 1 Farad Capacitors, they will do nicely to keep your battery from draining in a month. Just a little something something I thought I'd throw in. :frog:

your original batter should clear perfectly.. i put a porsche battery in my civic, (i used to have a porsche then my civic battery died so i exchanged them) and that fit kinda tight but it still fit. the Porsche battery was a yellow top optima sized battery.. so i shouldn't see a problem with that

i have an orbital. it didn't quite fit..the terminals hit my intake & hood. jer took out the shelf the battery sits on and pounded it out. now the battery sits lower and you can see, i actually have enough room now for a CAI.

if anyone is interested...i can take more pics. it's kinda hard to see, but it really sits down in there.

the alternator died in my car and i didn't know it for a day and a half. i'm don't think the battery ever fully died either now that's a battery!

Yeah, on the tray, there's some (17mm I think) bolts holding it on. If you take out the battery, you can see the ones on the topside. There should be a square hole in the tray, and you can see a bolt down there that runs into the side, just stick your ratchet down in there. then it just lifts out. easy easy easy.
